UC Clermont Cougars Women's Soccer 3-Peat!
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Nov. 17, 2025) … Alexis Taylor scored twice in a 15-minute span of the second half as the University of Cincinnati-Clermont Cougars defeated NHTI 3-1 on Monday night for their third consecutive USCAA Women’s Division II Soccer Championship at Highland Stadium.
The Cougars join a select group of schools that have won three or more straight USCAA women’s soccer championships as the University of Maine-Fort Kent won five straight from 2013-17 and the University of Dallas won three straight from 2001-03.
The Lynx opened the scoring at the 18:17 mark as Piper Flood found the back of the net to give NHTI the early 1-0 lead.
With less than five minutes remaining in the opening half, Kaylee Rose was the recipient of a feed from Molly Ennis and she blasted a goal at 40:43 to level the contest at 1-1.
In the second half, Taylor found the go-ahead goal as she was parked in front of the goal and took a crossing pass from Rose to push the Cougars up 2-1 at 66:31.
She then gave UC-Clermont the insurance tally as Rose dribbled up the right side and sent a touch pass to Ava Scherz who quickly found Rose and she slid the third goal of the night for the Cougars past the outstretched arms of Hailey Knight in goal for a 3-1 lead at the 81:38 mark.
UC-Clermont held a 14-4 advantage in shots and 7-1 advantage in corner kicks over the Lynx.
The title for UC-Clermont was their fifth since soccer was split into divisions in 2018. They won titles in 2018 and 2019 to go with the last three seasons.
